Partner’s Profile
Mr Patrick Chai is the Founder of CWC Consulting Group in year 2006.
He is a Chartered Accountants of the Malaysian Institute of
Accountants [CA (M)], a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants (FCCA) and an Associate member of The Chartered
Tax Institute of Malaysia (ACTIM) . He has completed his Advance
Diploma in Computer Studies with NCC. With 18 years of experience in
the auditing, financial accounting and taxation industry, he is
currently a licensed auditors and tax agent holding a position of
Managing Partner in C.W.Chai & Partners.

Professional Experience
Mr Patrick Chai has gained his professional experience ranges from
auditing of client in various industries such as servicing, trading,
manufacturing, constructions, non-profit organizations, restaurants,
money lending service, pawn broking shop, hotel industries, property
developers and etc. He also involve in advising tax implication of
cross border transactions, tax audits and investigation, tax
incentives applications, tax due diligence reviews as well as tax
compliance matters. He has successfully resolve few shareholders
disputes through mediation and negotiations for value of disputes
ranging from hundreds of thousands to five millions Ringgit Malaysia,
GST training and examination
In year 2014, Mr Patrick Chai has completed the GST training and
examination conducted by The Royal Custom of Malaysia and he is a
Licensed GST Tax agent. Immediately, he and his team has assisted his
clients to complete the conversion of their existing system to be a
GST compliance and readiness system using Simple –Step by Step
approach.
GST module functions
He also act as software consultant to his client to assess the GST
module functions and readiness of the client’s system, subsequently
propose area that need manual monitoring or enhancement,
He also provided public training and inhouse training on GST
implementation, hands on on GST accounting using GST compliance
software to various industries.

The Self Assessment System [“SAS”],
Under
the Self Assessment System [“SAS”], the tax authorities are
enhancing and encouraging voluntary compliance with the tax laws and
regulations. Tax audit is a norm strategy used by the authority to
ensure that a higher tax compliance rate is achieved under the SAS.
We believe a proper tax planning can mitigate potential tax risks and
avoid unnecessary tax penalty , hence we do provide a wide range of
taxation services to suit the current tax systems.
Our taxation services include :-
- Tax compliance works for corporate and individuals – Preparation of tax returns and computations for onwards submission to the tax authorities and liaise with the tax authorities in connection with any tax refund, appeals and enquiries.
- Corporate and individual tax planning – To provide tax planning strategies to maximize the Company’s tax saving with a minimum tax risks exposure.
- Tax audit and investigation – Liaise with the tax authorities for all the documents and computations required by the authorities, review and make alternative proposal to the authorities pertaining to their findings to resolve all disputed issues.
- Pre-Tax audit review – Undertaking substantive review of the financial statements and its supporting documents to ensure proper tax treatments were adopted for the Company’s transactions. We will recommend corrective steps for errors identified during the review.
